The KM does not list an over-date for this year, though it does for other years for these 1, 2, 5 and 10 cent coins. This one looks pretty good for an over-date to me, but I would really like some more opinions before I close the door on this one.

Looks like an overdate. If I had to quantify; 90% probability of overdate, 10% probability of die problem.

Yes that's pretty much where I'm at with it. If it's a die problem, it sure would be an odd coincidence that it lines up with what a 1 look like.

That's interesting! Have you compared this one to 1861 and other coins this year?

Yes, and the line in the 7 is right where the left edge of the 1 would be. I guess it's one of those that will have to be auctioned starting at nothing and let collectors decide what it is. =)
