Pretty sure they are Persian, but I am not able to translate them. The one on the right is about the size of a US dime. I though it may be a Nowruz or wedding token, but it's different from the ones I could find online.
The one on the right is about the size of a US nickel. All I can make out is the 900 in the cartouche on the reverse side. I am assuming this is the silver purity.
I don't even know where to begin on these two, so any clues at all are very much appreciated! =)

Sorry, I took a quick look at this thread back when it was posted, then forgot all about it.

I think you're right about the Persian origin, at least for the smaller one - that's just my guess, based on the style of the lettering. My best interpretation of the inscription reads "alrnan hd yasa'Ali" and the bottom word I can't make sense of at all.

The larger one I'm not so sure about. The Arabic/Persian script on the back of it says (without short vowels) "alalmt yasamn". "Alamat yasaman" seems to be the best reading, based on Google hits, but apart from being options for people's names, I don't know what the words mean. I'm not sure the number "900" definitely means the fineness, either; this Indian temple token features the number "786" prominently, for numerological reasons, and has a simialr mosque dome and minaret design.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Thank you very much for your insight as always Sap. Your translations will be very helpful in researching these two pieces.
After reading your reply I think that these may both be temple tokens. I will focus my search in that area.
Thanks again! =)
