I got this in a junk lot of silver off ebay. I don't have much experience when it comes to grading. Also wondering how the corrosion/rust stains will effect the grade. The Morgan dollar that was in the lot came with the same stains, it looks like they coins may have been stored in a tin that may have rusted. Is there a safe way to remove it or is just leaving as it is the best option?

I would just leave it, that's a good rarity to get for silver price.

Nice find!
I think this would grade F-12 without the rust stains..

Oh, to the forums!

I would grade it Fine-12 also. I think a little dip wouldn't hurt it..Nice keydate coin find in a junk lot. Way to go!

Very Nice coin for bulk price ! I would ask around a bit more. Many knowledgeable folks around this site could give you advice about what is best to do. These have been going up quite steadily over the past few years. Awesome find,
