I managed to obtain a 2006 P Non Magnetic (ICCS 65) about a year and a half ago and havent seen another one since. The trend on it doesn't move as they need current sales to make the trends rise or lower. If none are available for sale then how do you determine what its worth?

oddly enough...since I started collecting, I have yet to see a 1859 brass penny, 2006P non-magnetic penny, or a 2007 wheelchair mule, for sale.
These have to be rarer than hen's teeth :)...
And I've seen 3 1921s 5c, 2 1969 large date dimes, 4 1906 25c small crowns, etc...for sale....

Since I have started roll searching in Oct of 2009 I have found in rolls: 9 x 2006 No P No Logo Magnetic 2 x 2006P Magnetic 0 x 2006P Non Magnetic 0 x 2007L Non Magnetic 0 x 2010 Magnetic 0 x 2011 Magnetic I always search for the varieties. Trends has really dropped for the 2006 No P No Logo Magnetic. In late 2009 early 2010 I sold several non MS coins for between $60 - $150 US. I still have a few examples in my collection. There are quite a few examples listed on ebay. Most of them are graded examples and a bit overpriced if you ask me. I just found my latest 2006 No P No Logo last month. They are still out there. I have searched aprox 200 boxes of cents so far to find my 11 coins. I like the thrill of the hunt. Its what keeps me roll hunting.

Just received a 2006P magnetic in my change from Subway tonight. Only my 3rd 2006P Magnetic I have found in the wild since Oct. 2009. Now I need to find the 2006P Non Magnetic.

I think I'll try and buy one. I've finally started finishing my own small cent collection and that's the only thing I'm missing aside from some common date moderns. Someone will shake one loose soon.

darryldarryl Did you find it in the wild and have it certified or purchase it already certified? It is a nice coin. MS65 is fantastic. I will find one one day. I just need to wait my turn. Congratz on the nice coin.

Thanks cladhunter13, I coin was listed on ebay almost two years ago. I asked the seller a question and her and I "clicked " so to speak. She stopped the sale of the coin and sold it to me direct. I sent the coin out for grading with ICCS and was delighted to find out the grade two weeks later.

That is one scarce coin. So much scarcer than the 2006 magnetic (no P or logo)....

I agree 100% SPP-Ottawa! The trends put it $500 however there are no current sales to see the price rise therefore they leave the trend at $500. I am willing to speculate that if I were to sell this little treasure,I would get north of $1000 for it. I was offered $900 for it at the last Torex Show in Toronto by one of the dealers. I guess I'll just sit and wait!

Just finished searching a box of cents I picked up today. Managed to pull a 2006 No P No Logo Magnetic. Honorable mentions: 7 Wheat Backs (oldest 44 & 44D), 68S, 74S, 4 x George VI cents and 2 x 1950's Queen E's. On a side note...keep your eyes and ears open. Shipping may be difficult from Canada by the end of the week. Will surely throw a wrench in to Canadian sellers ebay listings. I'm hoping for the best and watching with . Here is a post from a local news site in my area. "Canada Post workers could walk off the job as soon as Friday morning, after its union rejected the latest offer and filed a notice to strike. On Monday morning, the Canadian Union of Postal workers filed a 72-hour notice to legally strike at 11:59 p.m. ET Thursday. "Striking is our only real bargaining lever with Canada Post and we have concluded that we must give notice that we are willing to use our legal right to strike to get a decent contract that meets the needs of our members and preserves public postal service," CUPW national president Denis Lemelin said in a statement. CUPW, which represents about 50,000 postal workers, met Monday morning in Ottawa. The union and Canada Post have been negotiating for more than seven months mainly over wages, benefits and working conditions." Happy Hunting.
