When was the last year Canadian quarters were silver (general circulation) and is it 90% like US coinage?

Last year silver was 68 and they were .500 . Some 67's were .500. 1966 and earlier were .800 until you get back to the teens and they were sterling (.925)

Edit: there were also nickel twenty five cent pieces as well to confuse things. In 1968 I mean.

Remember that the silver quarters will note stick to a magnet.....the quarters with a nickel composition will, this also goes with dimes.......

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people!!

ignorance=lack of knowledge
stupid=the inability to learn

In 1967 Canadian dimes and quarters went from 80% to 50% silver. In 1968 Canadian dimes and quarters went from 50% silver to pure nickel. A magnet will attract the nickel varieties. These transition years have both compositions. The Charlton Catalogue only lists the total/combined mintages of these years and does not differentiate the mintage compositions.

The silver coins were alloyed with copper, and indeed not magnetic.

I agree w/ Vermont & Wild Bill... No such thing as a stupid question... There are stupid politicians, SOME stupid people on ebay ripping people off... But not stupid questions, that was a rather good question and I'm sure many will benefit

Definitely not a dumb question, because I would not have known the answer either.
