Who would pay $19.99 for 2/3 of a silver coin that's worth less than $7 or face value in the case of clad coins? http://cgi.ebay.com/SILVER-COIN-GUI...OM_W0QQitemZ330405015330QQcategoryZ39462QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m8QQ_trkparmsZalgo=MW&its=C&itu=UCC&otn=5&ps=63&clkid=8089769317594686089 At least he advertise them as "collectible"....

Somewhere there is a guitar purist lamenting the fact that picks show up in coin bags!

I was tempted, but at the rate I lose picks I decided against it.

It's called art, folks, like making wind chimes out of beer cans. Hope the seller is smart enough to save up the silver he removes.

As a guitar player and a pick collector/coin collector I think its very cool for my collection. I don't think it would be good to play with, nor would I pay $20 for it, but either its still cool.

yeah I saw these and thought they were kinda neat, not for the price in my eyes also you wouldn't be able to play with it. that would be a grade ultra mega heavy pick it would be cool to make a pick of each us sized coin though and then frame it above my amp I would never use silver, but a clad half, quarter, dime, penny, maybe even a Presidential dollar, susan b, or Ike depending how the others looked maybe one day I'll try it

As a guitar player, you would probably get a distinct tone from that pick, especially with it being silver and the weight. Guitar players use various slides, glass, aluminum, brass etc. as each has its own tone. I've used a copper pick before, though much thinner and you get a much sharper attack and sound. So it may have a collectible aspect, but also a practical aspect.

Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) used a Mexican Peso for a pick when he started playing so it would make a distictive sound

If you don't play guitar then there not much reason to. If you do, they not a usual item in a music store. Not a lot of metal picks companies to choose from. I've seen them before on ebay and thought I'd get one but haven't yet. Definetly gives you a different tone and a different feel when you use one.
