I picked up one of these today at the coin store for $12.50. I believe it is 92.5% by weight sterling silver (.8029 ounces pure) can anyone confirm? Some research suggests this is an old Franklin Mint (private) issue.

Seemed like a bargain for the silver content figure melt must be around $26 and see a few on ebay for a $45 "buy it now"

I read similar specs for this medal, with BV calculating at $28--great pickup!

good pickup for the price but remember that sterling coins are tough to sell!
