Looking at my desk yesterday. A coin graveyard. What does everyone do with these. I know that most go back into the albums. What happens to ones that carry little or no premium? Small die gouges, over polishing, meaningless die cracks, etc. Are they released back into circulation for someone else to discover or if they are kept, how would you even begin to organize them?

I put the good stuff in my collection. They rest goes into a box for sale on ebay someday. An error is an error and someone will want it.

Put them in 2x2's and store them away for a rainy day. Clears the desk, as the stock pile grows.

I've only been collecting for a short while, but I'm an avid buyer, and I've already got a good sized candy dish of coins I bought then decided weren't worth the bother. I figure I'll save them for a niece or nephew or some other young collector who might value them beyond their hard worth.

They go in the "Miscellaneous" box until I need them for trade bait or giveaway prizes or something like that. Rachel

I give them to my cousin's young bloke who has just started collecting. He has scored pretty well out of me so far. No varieties or errors yet. He is only 10, and I get a kick out of watching his face. We have only just completed his 2001 state commemerative 50 and 20 cent collection from circulation. Was waiting on the final coin which was a South Australian 20c. Excess world coins I give to another young collector.
