Does anybody know a brand/model of scale which provides very accurate(5-6 decimal places)readings and sturdiness would be preferable. Dont mind if its heavy.
and not quite sure whether to get "old fashioned" or digital...

Any input helps!
THANKS!

Do you realize that that accuracy would make it an analytical balance with a price tag of about $5000? 5 decimals would be 10 microgram accuracy, you are not going to see that type of hardware outside of a scientific lab.

Unless you are planning on spending hundreds of dollars, two decimal places will be the best you can do.

I am wondering why that much accuracy is important as tolerances for coins is not at that level.I'm using a balance type gunpowder scale that measures in one grain increments..cost was about $35 and is easily calibrated.

Check out Old Will Knott Scales in the Denver area. I picked up a nice four-digit set of scales for little $ and am well-pleased with the unit.
