From today's box:
1939 US
1957 US

Congrats! I kind of retired from nickel searching when I found my 64 XWL. I'd love a 65 LB, but those seem too scarce.

I go through rolls of nickels all the time, I find tons of 1964s, and have yet to find an XWL... good going, cladhunter.

Thank you all for your posts. I would love to find a 64XWL in MS condition...but highly unlikely pull from circulation. Nickels sure do take a beating in circulation.

Can you believe this weather. Calling for 2 - 4 inches of snow by the morning in my area. Mother Nature needs to pull her head out of her hind end...its April for heavens sake. LOL!

I don't know anything about Canadian coins but I do have several large early cents and some large modern ones simply because I enjoy the images. But could someone tell me what is a 64 XWL?

It's a die crack on left field of the reverse that makes it look like an extra water line in front of the beaver.

HeadsIWin...in my signature is a pic of the first 64 XWL I found. To the left of the beaver you can see the Extra Water Line angled upward through the bottom of the KG initials.

DBM...I think I will have to double up the signature. Will have to wait till Monday for pics tho. I'm beat and the Sandman is calling my name. Have a good night all and happy hunting.

Thats what coin collecting is all about! Finding the varieties for face value when sorting through rolls! I have found 3 so far but in dealer stock and 1 other on ebay. Congrats and you know, all that searching makes it worth it when you find a nice gem like that one!

Cladhunter13, could you post an enlarged image of the Canadian 64 XML underneath your posts? I would like to be able to see it. I wear specs and still cannot see that error. I am not able to zoom in on the image either.

In the early 70s this was my first discovery of a coin variety. This was the one that hooked me in coin collecting. It wasn't the best shape but its the sentimental value!

How do you ask for "customer rolled nickels" ? Does that term mean anything to bank tellers? What's the best way to describe such a request?
