I dont know if its possible to tell from a picture, but I suspect that this coin has been cleaned. It has an unusual finish that I have not seen before. And the first thing that came to mind was that it was cleaned by some kind of solvent. Thought?

The color is very unusual. Looks like it was put in an acid of some sort.

No doubt cleaned, I think with an acid or chemical, maybe even put in ketchup and later left to retone? I have ketchup-cents that look like that.

Thanks. A bunch of other ones were also cleaned from some customer wrapped rolls. No key dates so doesn't really matter I guess.

I found a 1942 that had a color like this
and my grandma soaked a few wheat pennies in bleach for me that looked like this
I told her once she told me what she was doing that it wasn't a good idea so she gave me the rest of the coins untouched
good thing she only cleaned a few 40s and 50s
I'd say though that it was cleaned in some sort of harsh liquid

I finished searching the rest of the rolls late last night and found whole rolls with cleaned coins. I wonder why the owner went through the trouble of cleaning them only to give them back to the bank. LOL!
