Yep, trade with somebody who needs them, or sell them to your coin dealer.

I store mine in one (or more) of the US Mint canvas bags. When I have time I then sort them down by decade. Then by year and mintmark so I can roll and label them.

I bought a case of penny tubes and I have them sorted out by year and mint mark. I make rolls when I fill a tube. I have multiple roll sets from 40-58. I know I will never have a complete roll set considering I don't plan on buying 50 1909's but it's fun.

In addition to what's been mentioned already (keeping, selling or trading them) I have a couple more thoughts...
1 is to buy a cherrypicker's guide & see what else you might find; and
2 is to pass a few along to a younger collector.

+1. I'm still learning and I have my cherrypicker's guide coming in. I've saved everything so I can go back and look through them. Should be must easier now that I've sorted them by date and MM.

If there are some you need, and some you're willing to trade for, you can PM me and I'll see if I have any extras

Wheaties are definitely getting harder to find. I've served maybe 100 rolls this year and found only 7. I'd definitely hang on to them

I found a grand total of zero wheats in the last box of cents (1000 coins) I looked through. I guess that's not that unusual?

Well, I found four in six dollars worth.. So I'd say zero in ten dollars worth is a little below average..lol

I've thought about posting on here for trading my extra wheats and Jefferson nickels. I really just want a complete set and don't need all the extras. Of course I keep all the War Nickels and the "steel" cents. I wonder if there is anyone interested in trading these on here? I have a coffee can of Wheats as well as Jefferson nickels. All extras that I don't need. Seems like no matter how many boxes I roll search through, I don't find the years I need. It's an idea Spetti2000. You get what you need and help others in the process. I may try it too!

I have been collecting Liberty nickels for a while, and have just started on Buffalo nickels. But with the price of silver, that has made me change my mind. I think I'm going to start a Jefferson circulated set until about 1961 or so. Then anything after would be proofs only. I've already started on the proofs however I only have two War Nickels for the circulated set. I plan on picking up a box of nickels soon to work on that. So I definitely for one would be interested and I'm sure there would be others.
