Poor guy looks like he's having a severe allergic reaction - his face has swollen.

That is crazy! You're right though. Even an amateur could tell that one's a fake.

That's awesome! Almost want to bid just b/c it is so bad...not to promote piracy but a set of very bad fakes might be kinda cool...IMO

I would almost pay the $5.48 just so I can freak people out with it!

I don't know much about metal work, but wouldn't be easier to take an real version (e.g. a 1997 penny) of the coin you're trying to counterfeit and use that real coin to form the mold used to create the counterfeit die? For all I know maybe they did try that and this is the result -- a zombie Abe Lincoln who had a portion of his cheekbone removed.

I feel like something's missing here... Ah ha! Is it the VDB on his shoulder? Or am I wrong? Terrible thing(whatever it is) either way.

That 'penny' is a really ugly coin, but on a serious note he has some fakes that are just missing the required lettering, inscription and denomination and he is a just a stone's throw away from that kind of piracy. The sad thing is that uninformed people might buy such pieces of trash and get ripped off or unscrupulous buyers might palm these off at inflated prices as the real thing to unwary buyers. As always, know your source and never buy domestic coins offshore. Caveat emptor...
