That is, unless you have an account with them.

Has anyone else noticed this going on where they live? I find it ludicrous. In fact, if I do start an account and don't leave at least $17.50, I can't get a roll of each out because obviously I wouldn't be a 'real customer'.

It will probably cost them some customers, but it's most likely a thoroughly researched policy change for them. In their eyes they can make more revenue, even with lost customers by not having to deal with the 'coin crazies' as much.

I can't blame a bank for trying to stick with focusing on actual banking transactions as opposed to being the local coin shop....only I won't be banking with them any more.

I honestly don't get where this sense of entitlement comes from to expect to go into a business like a bank and expect to get a product at cost when you're not an account holder. They are there to service their customers and not hand out rolls to collectors but not their own customers. Remember it costs them time and money to order the rolls and to have someone give them out so I can't blame them for charging a fee to non customers.

For the record, this isn't aimed specifically at the original poster since I have seen other similar posts complaining about banks not catering to non-customers who happen to be collectors. For a moment, try to see it from their side as a business. Could you imagine going into a grocery store and expecting to buy something at cost? It doesn't work that way. Maybe thats not the best analogy, but somewhat same concept.

In my opinion, banks can do whatever they want to non-customers as long as they are up front about it. They are a buisness.

i think in order to have a gripe with a bank you have to have an account with them
you need to belong to the bank
if you are a part of a country club or something you can use the grounds for a cheaper or free price
if you aren't you might not be able to use the grounds at all, or you may have to pay an extra fee
you aren't entitled to it
If you are gonna complain about something at least be a member Geez

CoinHunter53562, nod2003, and Chriscoinmaster deserve the last words on this.

Of course, most of you saw this coming...
