Nice finds especially for across the border. I have a hard enough time finding S mints in California.

You'd think California would have a lot of them floating around since they're minted in San Fransisco aren't they?!

I usually find alot of S mint cents when I'm in CA. Same goes for D mint. I'm from PA and only get to the west coast once or twice a year.

How common are 69 S and 68 S? I've only managed to find 70S to 73S through roll-searching, and by luck, a 74S in circulation.

They did until recently, when copper hoarding really changed the date spread of LMCs. Now, you're lucky to find a couple in the 60s-70s per roll. Too bad your 70-S isn't a small date.

Yeah, too bad not a small date

I recently finally let go of a lot of US pennies, stopped hoarding EVERY ONE come my way. Maybe I should be hanging onto all the copper years for CCF people? I find lots of them up here. Very few Wheat backs though. Its not too unusual to find a couple or so S ones too. Seems almost every time I get rolls I get at least one. Out of $10 pennies I found this 69 and 70 yesterday.

I've got almost a full coin tube of S pennies. Very few came from others, I found most of them in rolls or change from the stores here
