1913 ? S & D Buffalo Nickels

We recently inherited 8 boxes of coins 50LBs each, were just starting to go through them trying to pick out key dates in a roll we found mark 1913 Buffalo nickels going through there was 7 of them you could not read the date and on the back there mint marked d and s. I can we be sure there 1913. We have other key Dates several coins. We are very over whelm, we are not collectors. We are trying to log what we have need help.

Post pictures if possible.

There is two flavors of 1913 Buffalo nickels - Type 1 and Type 2.

1913 Type 1 Buffalo- FIVE CENTS on mound

1913 Type 2 Buffalo- FIVE CENTS under mound

Type 1 coins are exclusively 1913 while Type 2s can be 1913-1938. Because of this difference, Type 1 Buffalos are identifiable without a date.

Thank you, I will look again, I know I have both raised and recessed mounds and both with S and D's on them.
