I posted one of these images, but mixed them up.....

I have now found 3 of these in 6 months......

Has any Canadian collectors come across this yet ?

The top image has the largest chip/hump with the bottom image the smallest.

What do you guys/girls think ?

I think dies degrade in stages before they are noticed and changed (or they just hit their number and are changed)

This same kind of thing happens on several varieties including the 85 LB.. the jewel is more separated in some examples than others... and so on.

In the US they make an entire sub specialty out of defining the die wear, here we simply don't mint as many coins to or have as many collectors to have that happen.
