It could be a die 4. You should DEFINATELY see a die chip in the upper loop of the S. If it's not there, it's a fake. Take a close up of the date/MM for us.

If it was mine it would go right into one of my Albums, no slabbed coins for me. They just don't fit into an Album. That really is a nice looking coin. If you want to sell it, I'd easily send you $100 for it but you would have to pay postage.

acloco, appreciate the effort, but what we need is a close up, not an enlarged image. When an image is enlarged, it loses detail.. in this case, it is losing too much to be of use. If the OP could take a close up of just this area, it would help.

I think the "S" is fuky too. There are many 1909 S VDB cents are fake out there. Alta the "S" is the common one.

this shows the die chip in the MM well, on the inside of the upper loop of the S  I have concern for your coin.
