pics a little small for grading but a nice wood grain effect. Easy extra fine or mid AU coin. I could part with the price for that one. nlp

Hey reupman! I think you got a good deal on that one! Too bad the VDB is missing on the reverse!

so I called my local coin dealer to see about sending it to pcgs for grading and to my surprise he told me it would be $50 so how do I get it done for cheaper?

I'm a lousy grader but I'd still venture to say about VF-20+ and I really wouldn't bother having it slabbed. I collect coins, not platic. That to me is a nice coin and I too love that wood grain effect. If I had that one it would go right into an Album.
I'd really love to someday have an Album of all woodgrainded coins.
Nice find and a really good price.
OOPPPS forgot to say

There's no need to slab this coin. It's not valuable enough to justify the cost of certification. What the images show makes me think VF+ and worth about $150. I'd just keep it in an Air-Tite.

That's a real nice looking 'woody' and I'd give it a VF-20 at least, maybe with bigger pics, a little more.

I just zoomed it up and his kisser and coat are better than they look. That's an easy EF/AU, and a good buy at that price.
