Depending on the series, the lowest grade listed is either VF20 or EF40. The MS grades are broken out. Very strange not to find the modern commemoratives in the Professional Edition, all of the bullion products are there.

I didn't know this "Cadillac" existed!

I was thinking if you couldn't see the numbers I was seeing, a loupe is probably not going to be much help!

If you go to the Whitman Book web site you would see that there are now numerous versions of the Red Book available. From Hard covered to Leather Covered ones. Large Print versions, Hard Covered with spiral bindings, Professional Editions, etc. I collect the Hard Covered version but wondering if I should try for any of the others now.
Interesting also is you can still purchase a reprint of the 1947 Edition and lately a Book about The Red Book. And there is two versions of that also.
At one of the many coin shows I go to there is a table full of so many Whitman Books I think they are taking over the Book market on Coins. Wish they would go back to making a decent Coin Album.

Can I still use this or should I return it?

Keep it and use it. I've seen the Professional version before and it looks good. I have the 2010 regular version and this will more than likely be my choice the next time I buy one. You did good.

I saw the 2012 edition at Barnes and Nobel this weekend. I didn't buy it, not sure if I will. Every other year seems about right to me.

Received the 2012 edition from Amazon. Whitman removed the type coin listing that used to be at the beginning of each denom. The bullion chart goes up to $43.00 for silver, and $1875 for gold. I emailed Whitman to ask if they would ever issue the Red Book in e-book format, it is "under consideration." Saw more than a few dealers with iPads at the show I attended over the weekend, with pricing guides downloaded, but not the Red Book.
Rest in Peace

If you buy the 2012 issue tomorrow, prices are already 6 months out of date.
