Hello All!

I recently discovered the world of coins and am starting to build my collection. I acquired these two Newfoundland 50 cent pieces and am having a little trouble with the grading.

Any suggestions? And what is the key thing to look at when grading coins with this design. Thank you very much!

To the forum, 1977MS66...

The Newfoundland coins have the lowest mintages of any, and not that many people collect them.
So, your off to a good start.

And..I agree with DBM's grades.

I believe there a few varieties for the 1898,I'm not familiar with them so can't help you out there.
Anyone else?
