And it is so nice to actually have dealings with a DV dealer as sometimes it is frustrating dealing with auction houses and dealers that do not have the experience with variety coins. Case in point; took my 92 CAM to my local coin shop, he looks in the Cherry Pickers Guide and tells me. "Here it is, that's a great find and worth @ $30" WHAT? Are you kidding me? O.K. let me try this; Get a hold of Heritage auction house. These guys know coins right? WRONG! Guy I talk to says "we don't do coin sales for under $5000 value" K, I'm cool with that and understand. But the clincher is he goes on to tell me, "according to the Cherry Pickers Guide it is only worth @ $30". What the heck? So, point being most seam to rely to heavily on price guides and not with what is really happening in the variety world. That is where a variety dealer is like having a stock broker. I could sell that coin to the dealer for $15 or a variety dealer that knows the variety and get what it is really worth. So thank goodness for DV dealers like Chris.
