Unidentified Token/Coin - Great British Steam Ship

Hi

I hope someone can help me as I have been searching the internet and cannot find out anything about the coin/token I have.

I have attached a couple of photos.

One one side of the coin/token it says:-

The Great British Steam Ship
Launched at Bristol
Length 522ft
Breadth 50.6
Depth 32.6


And on the other side is says:-

This iron steam ship was launched in the presence of HRH Prince Albert July 19 1845
The weight of iron used in the ship and engines is upwards of 1500 Tons


And around the edge on one side is says:-

Constructed By T are Guppy ESQ CE

G'day & welcome,
privately minted tokens circulated widely in Britain from about 1790 upto the Great Recoinage in 1816. Prior to 1816, the mint was irregular in its issue of coins. A new Mint was built and started issuing coins on a more consistent basis in 1816.

An item like yours is most likely a "commemorative medallion". This article discusses at some length the launch of what was then the biggest ship in the world:
