I've been trying to figure out what this coin is, but not having much luck.

The letters on the reverse seem to be IOTA IOTA PI OMICRON, unless this isn't Greek at all.
If this is a date it would be 170.

I don't know if this is a bull or a calf on the reverse.

The obverse portrait is drawn very angular, sharp pointed chin etc.

Although it looks Greek to me, most of the Greek coin portraits I see have much more rounded appearance.

Can anyone give me a clue as to what it might be or where to look.

Wildwinds doesn't seem to work when entering Greek phrases....it keeps coming up Roman.

I forgot to add...it's small coin about 10mm

Thanks again.

Well I can,t help much with the ID, but it is a cool little coin.
I will be watching to see what the experts say about it.

I must say that I can't positively identify it.

I am thinking that it may be a contemporary barbarous copy of a Greek coin by a Celtic tribe of Northeastern Europe.

I followed your lead and came up with this. The reverse looks lot different, but the obverse is a bit similar. Your hunch might be right.

This picture is of a Celtic barbarous copy I found at a collectors site. I guess these kind of coins are collectible too.

I'll continue, over time, to try to find out what mine is, but I may never know for sure.

Thanks
