Very cool, What would you say was the highlight in the hoard? It deserves it's own photo.

In picture #2 it was the razor...you can see it on the bottom left side. It was sticking up out of the ground just waiting to cause some damage to someone. I'm 100% sure it was placed there on purpose. I actually hit it with my coil!

Any Ace250 owner knows that most gold rings will show up as nickels on their machine. But, pull-tabs will show as nickels, too. I will dig ALL nickel signals this year. I will find lots of pull-tabs in the process!

I imagine lots of pull tabs leads to lots of other finds. Of course it matters what was originally on the other side of the pull tab.

It doesn't matter how advanced your detector is (mines a Minelab GPX 5000)those ring pull like the one next to the Stanley blade will always give you a good signal similar to gold and should always be dug also there very prolific in the Aussie bush too.
Keep up the good work Hoosier

If you want a bit of a read about Australia "Aussie Gold Finds" thread I started three years ago might be worth a look, the only state I haven't been in so far for gold is the Northern Territory I'll get there one day soon, just planning for my next trip down south next week I'll leave on Thursday morning for 10 days of detecting in the Victorian Golden Triangle .

For a long time I've been thinking of starting a pull-tab collection, but I wasn't sure about a good way to find them. This thread has answered all my questions!
