I was thrilled with the finds today. I didnt find much change but would rather find this over change anyday.

MKman the first item is a small 3x3 thin piece of copper with some fancy details on it and its thin like paper. Not sure what it is though. The second item is a copper cadet badge. The third items are old belt buckles. Ill put better pictures on later.

eric273 I was metal detecting at a friends house today. There was a train wreck where her yard is yrs ago. Late 1800s early 1900s not sure when it happened but a few people died in the crash. I guess it was a really bad wreck.

Hey that copper thingy might be some sort of artistic engraving to make prints. I saw something like that on the "Pawn Stars" TV show. You might have yourself a very historic find...NICE! I'll google some "early copper etchings"...might find something interesting.

Those are some very nice relics you have there. I now do mostly relic hunting but still do the occasional coin shooting every now and then. Keep hunting that yard there has to be more goodies waiting to be unearthed.

I plan on hunting this yard more. This stuff came from an area of about 5 feet by 5 feet. Theres alot more yard to cover yet too. Thanks for the info Hoosier was wondering of what possiblities it could be.
