wow, you just came across one? I need to wander around with you some time!. I don't know about a set but if you look up in Krause you see $500 each for the 1 & 5 Pruta, $1000 each for the 10, 25, 50 and 100 Pruta.

Really? Man I guess the other 5 or 6 my father in Law had are worth something then. I took one home to look at and to research. Guess I need to get the others.

From my edition of Krause, Israeli proof sets for 1949 are not listed. That seems strange to me. That may explain the lack of response.
BTW, I have a .500 silver 250 prutah, from Joel Anderson, CA., in FDC. 44,000 struck, not issued for circulation, .2315 ASW. Acquired not long ago, for not much money, perhaps he has a few left.

1 Pruta is a proof coin in the mint set maybe?

Well if anyone has any suggestions then on where I can get a value I'd appreciate it. I came across 3 sets and I want to sell 2 of them but need to know what to sell for. E-bay was no help and Google wasn't either.

None of the coins in this set are proofs. The 1 pruta is proof-like, which is typical for regular "business" strikes of these coins. This set appears to have been put together outside the Israeli mints. The official 1949 mint set would have more coins, different varieties (pearl vs no pearl), and a very different package.

after seeing the picture I agree with Numismat, these are not proofs and although I've never seen an official mint set for 1949, I have seen many others and this doesn't look like a 'mint' set I've seen. Nice looking coins for sure though.
