I trade a lady 3 sterling bracelets weighing about 1.5 ounces for one of those big plastic Folgers cans full of copper pennies, 10 War Nickels in descent shape, and 10 Buffalo nickels in poor shape. What should I do with the pennies though? I read that they are worth like $.04 a piece in copper but it is illegal to melt them. Should I just take them to a coin-star? I pulled out the wheat pennies probably 5 rolls. I have no idea about pennies please help.

You can send them all to me. That would probably be your best bet. WOLF

There's a lot of things you can look for. If you can, sort them by date and post the results here. Then we can hone in on which to scrutinize.

That or send it to Wolf .

This would be a good time to get into cents. There are a lot of varieties and a few errors to look for in cents. Get a folder and start filling it up is another idea. If you have absolutely no interest in cents then you could try to sell the wheaties to a coin shop and dump the memorials. Just some ideas.

Actually sending them to Wolf isn't in MY best interest and makes littel CENTS. Consider a poor, old, elderly, coin loving, nice, friendly, handsom and many other things first. That would be me.
However, if none are of any value, I will simply forward them to Wolf. See how nice I am.
In the real world you should separate them by dates and then by Mint marks. If you don't want to spend money on a book, such as the Red Book, you can find all sorts of info about pennies on many web sites and even here once you find out what you have.
One place is good for them is https://www.coppercoins.com They also have two books out on just the Lincoln Cent.
Spend a few menutes first for any possible super coins such as the 09S, 09S VDB, 14D, 22 plain, 55 double die and most S mint coins.
The latest Red Book is now out and you can also find out all about Nickels and many other coins.
