A very nice photo; may I ask what you use? Digital camera, scanner? Dedicated lighting setup?

JackB - Digital camera. Canon 12 MP or Kodak 14 MP.....and a couple hours in the photography forum here.
Just bought a light yesterday, so the photos should get better yet.
Changing the ISO (film speed - LOL!! ...shutter speed helps quite a bit). I actually shoot in low light conditions at the kitchen table.
Ugly - I will take a are shot tonight or tomorrow night.

That's in really nice condition for 78 years old and a long way from home!

Looks pretty darn good for a penny that long in circulation... nice and reasonable even toning, no distracting scratches, obverse shot is a little blurry but I'd hazard it out at F15/VF20 after allowing for that. Great find.
My oldest US find from Canadian circulation was an 1871 Indian with bad corrosion so far.
