What the heck is going on there... the blob on top is neither here nor there since plating errors abound these days.

I'm more curious about what appears to be floating denticles at the top and bottom. (not saying that's what they are.)

Any chance we can get a better photo of this coin revers and obverse, more pixels so I can manipulate the image a bit?

Don't think it is a die chip........Denticle is visible in tip of the blob........

OK, it's badly plated, the "denticles" I see are shadows of the beads like on the volunteer dimes in the that thread here https://goccf.com/t/83052. That bubble is a plating/gas bubble. It's already peeling too, nice.
