Could someone please tell me what the reasons are that red seal national bank notes have so much more value than blue seals?
What was the purpose of the red seals?
Thanks for any info. leading me to the answers.

can you post a pick of the note you are referring too, what years are the notes in qustion, and are you sure you are talking about national bank notes or red seal ( Unites States Notes) and blue seal notes (Silver certificates)

I was referring to Federal Reserve notes. Sorry for the mistake in not letting you know.

Not a problem, but know I am curious There were red and Ble seal FRN's. If their were I didn't not know that. If you have any info Please educate me. Thanks Jim
