I have been using Coin World Premier for my better coins. I use basic 2X2s for my low value stuff. I really do not have any high value stuff!

I like the CWP holders as I can store them in the NGC silver boxes right along with my NGC certified coins.

But I would like them more if they felt more durable, better made, finished better, etc.

I have never had one pop open, but the fear is always there, as they do not really snap together.

Anyhoo, my question is, is there better stuff out there? In the size of the standard slabs? I have found some "generic" CWP type, but find them to be on the same level, or maybe a bit less quality.

Other than that, nothing.

Another question, is there a method to permanantly seal the CWP holder? Glue? Welding? I don't have the $$ for a sonic welder, but thought I would ask.

I don't know about your first question.

the slabs from TPG aren't air-tight, and I would worry with fumes from the glue/tape getting inside and coloring the coin. (taping a 2x2 was discussion earlier)

Just me: I would worry about welding the slab, in case you have to open it as some point. If you sell the slab, welding it shut may hurt or help the value. Not sure how the potential buyer would react to a welded slab.

you know I have mixed feelings on that. I really don't have any high dollar coins so if I got an 09S VDB for instance I would love to fill that hole in my Library of Coins album but I suppose if the coin came in a sealed slab I would want to keep it that way.
