I'm building a Proof Kennedy set only and am missing a few of the silver proofs from the mid-90s, 93-96 to be exact. With silver being over $40, would it make sense to look into purchasing them nowm or wait until silver prices go back down? I was thinking that with silver so high, the premium may not be as bad. As always, not collecting this as an investment, but rather I don't want to overspend now when I could wait for a better price in the near future. thanks!

Difficult to predict the future on Silver. Some say it will continue ot climb and others are just waiting for it to crash as it did many times in the past. Regardless, collecing a proof set or sets should not have any influence on your purchasing one if silver or whatever they could end up being made of. Tomorrow Silver could be $100/ounce or $5. No one really knows.

Some of the silver half dollars that you are looking for are actually more valuable than the silver in them. For example the 1995s silver half dollar. That has about $16 dollars of silver but sells for about $60-80 online. For these ones they do not really are influenced (compared to 'junk' silver) on the silver market.

No sense in waiting, the premiums are really small for these dates, $25-30 for 1993, 1994 & 1996. 1995 costs a bit more @ $45.00, still reasonable. You didn't mention the key, the 1998S matte proof, any set of silver Kennedy proofs should include this coin.

The 4 you're missing shouldn't be all that influenced by silver price. If you find nice ones, I'd say go for them and enjoy them.

You've been given good advice by the gentlemen above. I'll throw in my Two Cents and say do not expect silver to come down much anytime soon.
