A friend on another forum sent me a few of the India 2009 2 Rupee - Birth Bi-Centenary of Louis Braille coins since we have a friend who has a little girl who is blind.

Here is what my wife made to present the coin to her.

The US mint put out various Louis Braille sets in 2009. Below are some links from the mint. The coins and educational sets are no longer available. But can be picked up on ebay around melt. The educational set seems to have a wide price range of $60 to $90 as only a few K sold. I was impressed with the quality of coins.

Text below from US Mint

That's very thoughtful of you and your family.

This is my first time hearing about these. Those are awesome. Great idea Kena, I'm sure she'll love them.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have the 2009 Proof Louis Braille coin for myself.

The coin from India allowed us to make something inexpensive for a little girl who is legally blind.
