AlmostCollectible Valued Member United States 384 Posts	Posted 04/18/2011 12:03 am I am trying to figure out the total circulation coins minted for 2008 Sacagawea dollars. The following US Mint page says 14.84M D + 9.8M P = 24.64M coins: http://www.usmint.gov/about_the_min...insYear=2008 However everywhere else I searched, including Coin Community Facts page, and Wikipedia (sourced to Red Book 2010), it says the mintage is 1.82M D + 1.82M P = 3.64M Everyone on ebay is selling the 2008 coins as lowest mintage in the series. The difference is huge between those numbers. What am I missing here? What are the real numbers? Report this Post to the Staff

But the "lowest mintage" ads on ebay caught my eye, and I just wanted to make sure before I bought anything. DNA Pillar of the Community United States 2734 Posts	Posted 04/19/2011 01:26 am The U.S. Mint's production figures are for calendar year 2008, meaning the calendar year production includes millions of 2009-dated business strike Native American dollars that were struck in December 2008. I acquired my first 2009-D Native American dollars from the Denver Mint Gift Shop on January 5, 2009. Mint News Blog toured the Philadelphia Mint the same day, and the 2009-P's were available at their gift shop. The production of 2008-dated NIFC Sacagaweas is 1.82M from each Mint.
