Welcome! I'm not great with these, but I think the obverse is VF-20, and reverse has less wear - more like VF-35. So I guess it would grade somewhere in the middle? VF-25 or 30 maybe?

I'd say maybe VF-25 for the obverse, and VF-35 for the reverse.

Welcome, theroamer. Nicely done for your first post - clear pics and pre-emptive thanks. You got us figured out. O-102a, I think, which is good for you - this one's an R-3 die state of a common variety, and rather in demand. Looks flatly-struck from old dies, and in better grade than the initial appearance might indicate. No less than VF35, and I'd be unsurprised to see it make EF40-45. The hair details and clasp are sharp, and the shield and motto are known to be poorly-struck with this variety. Very nice coin. Any Bustie collector would likely bid this one over $200 immediately; it's been a year since an attributed one has appeared at Heritage.

Quote: loved reading SuperDave's wealth of knowledge on these. I don't know squat about Busties. Al Overton knew a whole bunch about them, and I have his book. There's a hint there.

Welcome to the community. Very nice pictures, I would grade it at VF-35 also.
