I've got a poster up on ebay. Should I be concerned if the price goes too high (like can I get scammed) or are these things really that rare? [eBayItem]110677151780[/eBayItem]

Is there a good website that shows all of the different GSA posters used to advertise the Carson City dollars?

It's probably rarer than the coins... I was looking at another sellers history and he, or she, had sold some of the advertisements and related items ( they were not colored or as cool as yours) and they didn't go cheap. I bet your poster will go for a lot more than what it's at now. I wouldn't worry too much about scams, as long as you take all of the usual steps when selling an item.

Thanks so much for the feedback! We've had questions and are posting answers on the listing. This was likely a brochure holder for use at coin shops. There are some slots in the front that for a plastic holder to fit into. Dad kept everything, EVERYTHING. The moral of our story is that you shouldn't just throw everything away because so many things have value to others even if they don't have immediate value to you.

On the website question, I'd like to make sure a good pic shows up on one or more authoritative websites so future collectors can find this example. I'll go through the tutorial for this site to upload here, but please reply with suggestions for other locations. Dad bought a number of these coins (all sold) during the original GSA sales and the cases were in the original mailing containers, so this item is the Real McCoy.

Promised pic. The poster is printed on cardboard and attached to a piece of backing cardboard that has cutouts to allow you to stand the poster on a counter. There are slots in the middle at bottom, presumably for a plastic brochure holder. The white/light lines through the middle appear to be artifacts of the printing process and not the result of folding.

The brochure for that sale that used the same image has the same white lines in the middle, it is part of the original print. Nice poster, what are the dimensions?

Size is 17 1/2 tall by 12 3/4 wide. Thanks for the feedback on the brochure (same lines), that's great information to have!

Does anyone have an idea what this poster is worth? I believe I saw one in a Nevada coin shop for around $100, about 2 years ago.
