This is the first misaligned die of any significance I've found in the almost $20K in halves I've searched in the past six months or so. Is it enough to be worth more than $.50, even with the die being so obviously over worked? I'm going to keep it for my own collection of minor errors either way, just because I think it's interesting.

Certainly a great looking example, make a nice addition to anyone's error collection!

I think enough for a modest premium, but others may disagree. It's borderline.

I like it. Nice find. I would pay more than 50 cents for it.

Is the reverse side centered?
Looking at the obverse, the E&R in LIBERTY are so close to the coins edge that I would guess the obverse die would make contact with the collar, resulting in a partial collar strike...

Even though liberty is still all visible I would
think some premium. You do not find as many mads on halfs
and or the larger coins. Also was thinking (if those are polish lines)
That there may be a connection between a mad and polished dies. Die removed for servicing then replaced. May be off center. Wonder if anyone
has looked at mad coins to see if the majority of them were from polished/over polished dies ?

The reverse is very slightly misaligned - not really even enough to notice. Interesting idea about polished dies leading to MADs - now I'm going to have to look closer whenever I find one!
