Well I am still kinda new around here and new to the whole coin collecting. I got a 2000 silver eagel today and I was taking some photos of it and noticed something not quite right with the letters on the back.

The most noticeable is the line going through the top of the "S" and then I also noticed it on the tops of the "T", "E", and "D"
Anyone else ever see this before? and what does this mean to me, the coin collector

Also while I'm here, what do you think of the rest of the coin?

Hi

I cannot see any line/lines in the photo myself
so not quite sure what you may be seeing.
The coin looks real good overall. At least with your pics.
Might make MS-67
That "S" took a slight hit at one time.

I'm no pro but I do see what your talking about. The inside top of the D and S. I would guess a form of MD ( Machine Doubling)

I agree. Looks like Machine Doubling...

That is interesting. Now you are gonna force me to take my loupe to my silver eagles! At least it will give me something to do before work. ;)
