Looking for advice / opinions on the impact of corrosion on copper / bronze coins... in particular large cents. What does a spot of corrosion the size of say a rim bead do to the price of an otherise MS graded coin (in the field or on the portrait)? You see a number of ICCS listed coins in MS state or higher circulated grades listed from time to time noted corrosion.. should one even bother getting one at a good price to fill a hole with an otherwise nice looking coin... or is it a waste? Does a small spot drop the price say 30% percent and a larger spot 60%? Appreciate your advice / opinions on this topic. It may have been covered before but cannot find a reference to it on the Canadian forums.
