The Bank of England has never cancelled or reneged on it's "promise to pay the bearer". The 1990 series E £5 note is not the current design, but it is still redeemable at British banks. Most currency exchange places should still accept them OK.

The Eurozone is still using the same design notes that was first issued in 2002. No worries there.

The Jamaica $50 should also still be valid. Be warded that fifty Jamaican dollars is worth considerably less than 50 US dollars; the $50 note is their smallest in circulation. There are currently 84 Jamaican dollars to 1 US dollar.

The information on Wikipedia is usually reliable enough, as far as what money is current in what country. Just enter the name of the country and currency unit (for example "Jamaican dollar") and you should be able to find out all you need to know about currently circulating coins and notes from any country you might encounter.

I figured they were all good when I saw the Jamaican exchange rate.

Thanks for the confirmation and the wiki info.
