In NH you dont need a permit as long as you keep the weapon visible.

BiggFredd How hard was it getting a carrying permit. Also, I though even if you did have a carrying permit you couldn't bring it into places like banks

Permit? That's only for concealed carry.

When I got divorced from my first wife, we had some godawful-in-the-morning slot. I went to court where she had moved. We were chatting, and I realized that I forgot to put my 38 special in the trunk.

I told her that I didn't want to play "Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?" with the judge, so she put it in her purse.

A few minutes later, I commented to her lawyer, who was sitting on the other side of her, "hey, aren't you supposed to be sitting between the warring parties?"

He said "that's just in the movies, we don't worry about that unless someone's holding a gun on someone."

It was all she and I could do to keep from cracking up.
