Craig Valued Member Australia 112 Posts	Posted 04/29/2011 11:38 pm I have a similar $1 coin that looks like the year has been gouged out possible similar to https://goccf.com/t/86846 .See pic. If it is post mint damage It must have been done on a near new coin as the toning and wear is consistant all over. The rim appears to be undamaged. Any thoughts? See this old thread for a more extreme example. I'd wait for some more experts to chime in before condemning it.
