I'm looking to for a place where I can buy pre 1930 circulated wheat cents in bulk, like 100 or 200 of them at a time. Can't find them anywhere, ebay and every online store which I was looking at has only mixed lots which I expect to be mostly 40's and 50's. So if anyone can recommend a place where I can find them that would be great.

I have bought all my pre 1930 wheat cents from dealers or ebay. I don't buy in bulk but I look through dealers books and buy many coins at a time and usually get discounts. I find that pre 1930 in bulk would all be lower grade. Also I keep an eye out for Whitman folders that are partially full at flea markets or garage sales.

A little off subject, just wondering what a roll of pre 1940 LWC in circulated condition is going for? Thanks.

What I have learned with the time is after you get to the point where you need the LWC's with mintage number lower then 15 million just start to buy them one by one or lots that you know what is the content because these bags from ebay is filled with 95% late 40's and 50's plus corroded junk the same you can find for free on roll search ! The Unsearched bla bla bla is just a scam ! Is cheaper to buy the ones you need but keep buying those lots and bags of weathies with the same dates over and over again ! I bought a lot of 1000 unsearched LWC on ebay and the guy sent me 40's 50's and less then 10 teens+20's , was the biggest mistake of my life I paid 85 plus shipping ! With this money I could almost buy a 1909s or a 1931s or 1924d or 1914 d !
The best luck is find a flea market where the seller don't know much about coins and sells cheap partial filled folders as the member above said !
Last week I found a flea market near Philly that have someone's collection for sale = 2 Whitman folders per 7 dollars each ! The 1909 to 1941 didn't have many teens with mm's but I found 3 holes fillers there and also bought the complete 1941 to 1958 folder also per 7 dollars !

Long time I though make a tread just like yours where we could exchange some ideas and experience ! Good job!
Last week on my trip to Philly I visited a friend who have couple coin jars and coffe cans filled with LWC , he didn't gave a single one but let me look at one by one so I did and didn't found any with mintage lower then 30 million and that was real Unsearched lot once he keep making them together since he was a kid (he is 68 years old ) I was choked to find out he didn't have a single 1909 or 1922 ! Trust me the lower mintage ones are impossible to find in lots or bags ! Have only one member in here that I know who find nice dates in lots bags and I wish where he buys them but he don't revel his secret !

I went to a small show not long ago and bought a roll of pre-34's for $7.95. The condition overall was AG/G. Only a couple of S mint. Nothing special for sure.

I dont look for them in bulk, but for my albums I buy at coin shows for cheap
I don't need the nicest examples, as I am going to upgrade later on if I want to
I usually check bargain bins and find them for under a buck each
I got a 1909 for 50 cents once and a lot of coins for 15-50 cents
I'm not getting BU coins but they are good-fine
