to the community and to Ancient coin collecting. Your coin does appear to be Claudius II 268-270 AD.

This guy is Cladius Gothicus, born AD215. He reigned as Emperor 268-270 AD. He was a native of Illyricum. He won a great victory over the Goths, with a much smaller army. The 'Gothicus' is not part of his name, but a title bestowed on him for his victory over the Goths. He died of plague.

The coin is a bronze antoninianus (double denarius), with radiate head facing right. The Obverse legend is: IMP.C.CLAVDIVS AVG'.

The reverse legend is:'IOVI STATORI', Jupiter standing left, holding sceptre and thunderbolt.

Paste these words in the Vcoins.com search engine, then srcoll down and you'll find an example with a price.

IOVI STATOR IMP.C.CLAVDIVS AVG

The condition may not be the same but you'll get an idea of its value.
