sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 05/05/2011 01:53 am This guy is Cladius Gothicus, born AD215. He reigned as Emperor 268-270 AD. He was a native of Illyricum. He won a great victory over the Goths, with a much smaller army. The 'Gothicus' is not part of his name, but a title bestowed on him for his victory over the Goths. He died of plague. The coin is a bronze antoninianus (double denarius), with radiate head facing right. The Obverse legend is: IMP.C.CLAVDIVS AVG'.
