Poll Question
The topic heading here is to imply and remark upon the TUMBLING Silver and Gold markets.
But mainly commenting on this Silver fiasco.

Well-That-Was-Fun-Wasn't-It-?

The poll questions may or may not be specific enough for particular answers, but please elaborate.
And more than one answer may apply for a person, but just pick the best one that you're going to do, or hope for, or agree with.
Please comment too, share your thoughts on this "tumble".
Are you alarmed ?
Same ol' rodeo, not surprised at all ?
Will it jump right back up to near $50.00 next week and beyond ?
This "tumble" will be a distant forgotten memory very soon ?

Poll Choices
I took advantage of it while it was good !
I wish I had sold some junk silver.......
This rollercoaster ride is nothing new.
I still see $100 an oz. for silver in the future
 It will never see $50.
Hope it dives to $11 so I can BUY SOME !
 Opportunity has come.......opportunity has gone
Hope I can buy my junk silver BACK soon !
Got some sweet coins with silver selling proceeds !
I like to eat corn on the front porch and watch traffic go by
 After the
 Got no silver..........Got no gold
I will re-invest if it ever gets cheap enough again

Nice poll.

I've started buying silver about the time I started getting more serious about coin collecting. It was $10 an ounce then and I do regret I didn't load up on more of it while it was dirt cheap. I've bought many common Morgans this last month and have paid an average of $35 a coin. I still feel good about those purchases as many of them where AU although they where common. Also, I don't buy with the intention of ever selling anything. All the silver I acquire will be my going away gift to my son someday. I keep all my coins, and other valuables in a chest that looks like a treasure chest. And it is in all reality a treasure chest. Deeds for land, gold, silver are all in that chest. I do hope to upgrade to a much larger chest someday though. I want to be able to fit my guns in there too.

Cheers.

I really thought it was going to continue above $50 with our debt and dollar problems. But I am new to PM so I am not surprised I was wrong.

Nice Poll!

This drop in Silver will get rid of all the speculators that are taking a pounding right now

This will settle down and start another upswing in another week or so.(IMHO)

I've been selling around half of whatever I find box searching, so I've done pretty good despite the sudden drop as I've also caught this at it's peak!

I sold just over 3000 ounces of .999 at $48
my cost per ounce average was 27$
I'll keep my Inital investment plus $20k and will reinvest the rest back in silver when it drops a bit more
not a bad turn around for less than a year

people have to remember

I thought it was too high at $30. But with too much support for it at the time so I held out until $40 ON THE RISE. It didn't really even upset me that the price went to close to $50 days after because I knew it was rising much too fast. The new players had to deal with a huge ante and the ones who were holding weren't really buying tons more, so support falls. It's not until people are greedy enough to sink $100 in the promises of $5000 that we'll see any kind of manic behaviour. Silver is still seen by most people as "cheap", so the promise for wealth just isn't there. This correction was way overdue and I think it was a problem of supply. When the price seems large enough that one can still come out a winner, some players will cash in. For others, the game/pot isn't big enough yet. That psychological barrier, I believe, is at $100 but there will be resistance on the way. Now the long players will buy out the ones who've cashed in but they still need new players to make the pot larger, otherwise nobody will want to play with such people who manipulate the chips around and around, slowly sucking dry the new players. Strong support will come in at around $75, methinks, if not a stable $60.

I am still up overall but I did get greedy, I am not stopping yet either. Good thing I sold over $150 FV silver last week but those darn ASE at $54 each are killing me.

Guess the great silver rush of '11 is finally over and we can all breathe a collective of sigh of relief. Traditionally I buy silver during the summer doldrums when most people have other things on their mind than hoarding. Looks like "summer's" come early this year.

I want it to plummet so I can buy some. I don't have much, maybe 12-15 ounces, but I would love to add to that. Perhaps more silver eagles or 90% kennedys.

Several of the poll's answers apply to me.

I'd love it if Silver dropped to $11/oz., but I'm not holding my breath.

COMEX increasing buyers' margins is good news for the long term.

I'd bet George Soros sold off so he could get more gold for his fiat money after the price drops. In other words, he sold off enough gold to create his own "buying opportunity".

Settling and stabilizing around the high teens / low twenties would be fine by me. Most of my silver was purchased under $10/oz, so I'd still be well above. And I don't have all that much, so it would put me back in a position to make some decent purchases. We'll see...of course $11/oz would be very interesting!

Wow, nearly a 40 dollar drop in gold in one day. I think that is the most I have seen it rise or fall in one day....
