Just acquired this and wanted to share the beautiful colour of it. Sumptuous or just gorgeous (I'm only talking about the colour)?

I love the palm trees and the owl. Very exotic. Nice to see a soft featured older lady on there instead of the usual pompous dictator we see everywhere else. I'd love to have one of those. I'll add it to my wish list!

I certainly agree with you Casey about the "softer" portrait of the aforementioned lady (Gabriela Mistral). For those not in the know here is a note she featured on previously.

I agree with Murazor. And I like the palms and the owl too. I wonder if they or it has any significance ?
I can't see a "window" in this note: in Oz, all of our polymers have a window, as an anti-counterfeiting feature. I assumed that all polymers would have this: perhaps not ?

I collect polymer portraits of Sir John MONASH.

For all you peeping Toms out there here's the window.

And after a bit of researching I figure the bird is possibly the Magellanic or Lesser Horned Owl and the trees must be Chilean Wine Palms.

it's a good trivia question to ask how many times the number "5000" is printed on that note. I count 15.
