Well, it looks as if it's about time for a feeding frenzy to take place in the numismatic community, as the powers that be like to call it. The trial of coin dealer Tom Noe opened on Oct. 16th. with no less than 12 fairly well known coin dealers serving as witnesses for the prosecution.
Such persons as Tom LaPointe, a former business partner of Noe's and also facing felony charges himself. Other coin dealers include Greg Roberts, Lee Minshull, Mark Yafee, Robert Leece, Brian Hendleson, Henry Galliot and Frank Grenberg.
His defense will be from himself as well as Steven Eichenbaum of NGC. He's already been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison on other charges, and now if convicted faces an additional years of confinement in the federal prison.
I don't think any one will come out on top in this dog fight!
