Just returned from Cancun. Mountain Lady and Medic Michelle and her kids will return tomorrow as they are staying an extra day in Denver to see the play "Lion King."

Since this isn't a forum for travelouges, I'll be brief and just say the trip was wonderful. We stayed at the Moon Palce Resort in Cancun, and it was nice to see how the wealthy live, if even for a week.

Tulum (Mayan ruins along the sea coast) was beautiful, and Xcaret (sp.) was a beautiful park with lots to do.

80 degrees. Balmy breezes. An "Ocean Adventure" which amounted to wearing a helmit and walking around among the fishes. And, our first experience at parasailing. A great week.

It was about 88 degrees when we flew out of Cancun, and then when we landed in Denver it was in the 30's and snowing hard.

Regarding coins, I brought back a half dozen bank notes of various denominations, and about a dozen coins. Best of the coins was a 10 peso coin in near mint condition, which I have seldom seen in Mexican circulating coins.

We have started saving for another trip -- a cruise ship voyage through the Panama Canal. But, that trip will be a looooong way off. Meanwhile we have many memories, and pictures, of the trip just finished. And, a few coins too.

Scoutjim99, I only drank the water when I got splashed in the face while in the swimming pool.

Actually, all water they use is from bottles. I'm sure they don't want tourists getting sick and spoiling their reputation.

Glad to hear that you all had a wonderful time! Isn't relaxing nice! I had to chuckle though because I knew the weather that you were returning to. You can chuckle at me when we make our great return to CO...it'll probably be in the dead of Winter. BTW...chances are looking good that we might be returning soon! Keep your fingers crossed!

Welcome back!!!!!! Missed you!

Deb, I forgot to mention that we also had a lay-over in Phoenix. Seemed just plain hot there. Then, the snow storm in Denver! What a change after just an hour and a half flight.

Hope you are able to come home soon.
