I run across this coin back in the late 70s with one of my first medal dedicators while searching an old fair ground. Since then medal dedicators are no longer allowed on the grounds. I'm no expert but I do think this coin goes Fine + maybe VF.

Holy cow, are you serious! This is one heck of a find!! This is the 1909-S which is the lowest mintage Indian cent. This is solid for VF,probable VF-30, and even with some mild environmental damage, should bring over $400. I would send this one to ANACS for certification

NO! dont clean it! its too risky, and 99.99% of the time the value will decrease EDIT: hmmm, when ASE is in the word it puts the hyperlink in it, any way to stop that? EDIT: fixed now

Thank you so much from keeping me from making a big mistake, I was seesawing back and forth, and I hope to have more people backing that theory up.

The coin looks great for a ground find! Send it to NCS for conservation. Without the environmental damage it's a VF to XF coin.

No cleaning it please! I hate watching people sell cleaned coins that would have been nice without it.

VF details. It's the kind of coin you might get authenticated--if you decide to sell.
